Currently, company has tied up with 100 such farmers who have farm ponds of sizes from half acre to 2 acres. Results of this endeavour are very encouraging for both, company & farmers. Therefore, company is planning to expand farmer / pond base to large extent. Produce obtained from such arrangement is bought by company & processed further & exported to various countries.
Company has entered into agreement with such farmers and assure them buy back of their farm pond produced fisheries at better prices. Company guides farmers on all aspects of inland fishery production such as procurement of quality Seed / Fries / Fingerlings, good cultivation practices, selection of correct feed and pro biotic, harvesting technologies and logistics.
With the growing demand for Indian seafood across the world, Company is engaged in backward integration to create sustainable source of raw material for processing which is further exported. For this, company has engaged farmers from Western Maharashtra who already have farm ponds. These farm ponds are used for irrigation of horticulture crops as well as for production of sweet water fish varieties like Indian Carps, Chinese Carps, Tilapia, Pabda, Tengra, Scampy, etc.
